Classes

In this classroom-based course, healthcare professionals learn advanced levels of CPR training for individuals who have a job-related "duty to respond" to emergencies. Participants learn how to recognize and provide care in respiratory and cardiac emergencies for adults, children, and infants, with special emphasis on two-rescuer CPR use of the resuscitation mask, bag-valve mask, and Automated External Defibrillator. This course is especially recommended for medical professionals, physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physician's assistants, residents or fellows, or medical or nursing students. 

Upon successful completion of this course, each student will receive a two-year certification the same day from the American Heart Association. Manuals are required, so if you have the current issue 15-1010, please bring it with you to class. If you do not already own one, we will have them available for purchase upon your arrival.

The Heartsaver® CPR AED course combines basic CPR skills training with instruction and practice in using an AED. The course is intended for all individuals who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements, including: police, firefighters, security guards, airline personnel, OSHA-related personnel, and lifeguards. Plus, it's also ideal for workplace training, where having trained lay responders may prove invaluable for the safety of customers as well as employees, including: restaurants, shopping malls, hotels and resorts, day-care or senior centers, nursing homes, fitness centers, teachers, and amusement parks. This course covers adult CPR AED with and without a mask, adult choking, child CPR AED, infant CPR, and child and infant choking. 

Upon successful completion of this course, each student will receive a two-year certification the same day from the American Heart Association. Manuals are required, so if you have the current issue 90-1044, please bring it with you to class. If you do not already own one, we will have them available for purchase upon your arrival.

Topics covered in this course are General Principals, Medical Emergencies, Injury Emergencies, and Environmental Emergencies. The course is intended for all individuals who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements, including: police, firefighters, security guards, airline personnel, OSHA-related personnel, and lifeguards. The Heartsaver® Pediatric First Aid CPR and AED course is a combo of the two classes mentioned above plus a few extra modules. The course teaches rescuers to effectively recognize and treat emergencies in the critical first minutes until professional help arrives as well as how to perform CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking. Topics covered in this course are General Principals, Medical Emergencies, Injury Emergencies, and Environmental Emergencies. The course is intended for people who regularly come in contact with infants and children, including: child-care/day-care providers, parents and grandparents, nannies and babysitters, teachers and other educators, anyone else with the responsibility to care for children. 

Upon successful completion of this course, each student will receive a two-year certification the same day from the American Heart Association. Manuals are required, so if you have the current issue 90-1074, please bring it with you to class. If you do not already own one, we will have them available for purchase upon your arrival.

All eLearning courses are blended learning, and the courses we evaluate skills in are: Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, Heartsaver CPR AED, Heartsaver First Aid, and Heartsaver First Aid CPR with AED. Students learn cognitive skills online through Web-based, self-paced modules then practice and test the skills they have learned with an American Heart Association Instructor. Part 1 is take online in the comfort of your own home, and then Parts 2 (hands-on skills practice) and Part 3 (hands-on skills testing) are completed at First-Class CPR's facility. You will have six months to complete your online training from date of purchase and thrity days after the completion of the course to be evaluated in person. Once you have successfully completed your online course, print out your certificate, give us a call at 909-543-8871 to schedule your appointment, bring your certificate and your photo ID with you, perform your skills correctly in front of one of our instructors, and you will be issued your two-year American Heart Association certification.

The CPR Party for Family and Friends is conducted in the comfort of your own home. Participants will learn to provide CPR and relieve choking. This course is intended for new or expecting parents, their family members and friends, for family members of patients at risk for sudden cardiac arrest, and anyone who wants to learn basic rescue skills for loved ones. This course features hands-on skills practice. No Certificates will be issued. This course is intended for a maximum of 12 students. Please call for pricing.

This course is intended for new or expecting parents, their family members and friends, for family members of patients at risk for sudden cardiac arrest, and anyone who wants to learn basic rescue skills for loved ones.
